Speak Up for Change

Kids Creative believes that a better, more peaceful future is one in which everyone is heard, respected, and cared for in our community. We stand with those who are using their voices to call for change, so that we can create a world in which all our students feel safe and are given the same tools for success.

Creating a truly peaceful world is an ongoing process, one that we will continue to be a part of and urge you to do the same. As well as preparing future generations of change makers, there are steps we can take right now to make sure our voices are heard and our communities are supported, including contacting your local officials to let them know the reforms you want to see enacted and your stance. Here’s where you can look up your officials’ contact information: https://myreps.datamade.us/

These are difficult and necessary conversations that we need to continue to have; it’s important that we give our future peacemakers the tools they need to engage in these conversations on equality and change, effectively and with empathy. Here are some great resources on how to start conversations on race and equality from the Center for Racial Justice in Education: https://centerracialjustice.org/resources/resources-for-talking-about-race-racism-and-racialized-violence-with-kids/
