A Typical Day at The Kids Creative Summer Camp:
The camp is a full day experience, from 9 AM-5 PM, with an optional early pickup at 3 PM. Drop off begins as early as 8 AM and late pick up is until 6 PM.
Morning: Opening camp assembly, welcoming warm-ups, group brainstorming for story ideas and scene creation, music, theater, video and art activities. Each group has a morning snack and some may have outside time for sports or free play.
Lunch
Early Afternoon : We continue on the play creation activities, including art and songwriting, set design, Acting, Dance and Video Creation
Mid-Afternoon : Group games in the park, where you can choose to play sports, play in the sprinkler, hang out with friends or a little bit of each. The groups with park time in the morning will work on quiet play activities.
Snack and quiet time
Late Afternoon: Final group activities, Review of the story thus far, Song practice and End of day camp assemblies
Special Camp Activities: We will take field trips periodically during the summer to museums or other exciting places that will help us expand our imaginations and explore our story more in depth. Past field trip locations have included The Bronx Zoo, The American Museum of Natural History, Broadway costume designers, theaters and a trip to see a live Dirty Sock Funtime Band concert.
