>Stephen Jacobs, Artistic Director Stephen Jacobs (Artistic Director) is the founder of Create-A-Play. Since 1998 Stephen has been committed to creating and maintaining a summer arts program that empowers children by nurturing their creative energies. Stephen holds a Bachelors degree in creative writing and is a graduate of the Masters of Education program from The University of Minnesota. He is also a classically trained musician, having worked as a studio guitarist, written the scores to 2 films, as well as having authored the songs and lyrics for the off-Broadway show "Delicious Vaudeville." In addition, Stephen has composed hundreds of songs for Create-A-Play. Over the course of his nearly fifteen years experience teaching kids in the public school systems of both New York City and Minneapolis, Stephen has developed an innovative teaching style focused on building an environment in which students are confident and free to succeed. Stephen is currently President of the Dirty Sock Funtime Band.
