August 2018: Jason Roberts
Our employee of the month for August is Jason Roberts, our summer camp Production Specialist for PS 102 and Rock 2 the Bronx!
Jason has been a superstar at KC this summer, stepping up to the plate to become the Production Specialist for two sites instead of one. When asked if he could cover them due to a last-minute change, Jason was more than happy to find a way to split his time between both sites, ensuring that every child got a chance to shine at their summer camp shows!
Jason has been with KC since October 2015, and in autumn he will become the Peace and Culture instructor at PS 102.
Before starting at Kids Creative, Jason was a literacy and activity specialist at the Bronx YMCA, instructing NYC youth in the arts and helping them realize their potential. When Jason isn't at KC, he's also performing as an independent hip-hop artist under the name CONQUEST!
No matter the issue, Jason is always ready and willing to find a solution, being a true team player in every situation. He always puts his students and other staff members first, and truly embodies the collaboration behind everything that we do.
We're so grateful to have Jason as part of our staff, and his commitment and willingness to go above and beyond for our students has made him our employee of the month!
