June 2019: Russell Pollack
This month, we’re shining a spotlight on Russell Pollack, a music instructor at Brilla Veritas Elementary! Russell always has a fun, creative way of using students' ideas and turning them into songs that get stuck in your head for days. Along with his great work at Brilla, he also helps with music lessons at our free monthly workshops, Creative Saturdays, finding ways to engage kids in creating a song in just a few hours!
Russell has also been a music instructor at Come Join the Band, teaching children the power of music and how to use it to express themselves. He brings that same passion for music into everything he does, getting students excited about the possibilities of music and finding unique ways to tell a story through song!
His coworkers say he’s always ready to create and has a positive attitude that his students and team members feel. Throughout his time at Kids Creative, Russell has truly embodied the 6-C’s, finding ways to incorporate them not only in the music the students create, but his approach to work and teaching. For these reasons and more, we’re grateful to have him on the team and so happy to call him our Employee of the Month!
